In their own words

Our moving,
our landing.

Written by Vladyslav Panichev

My name is Vladyslav. I have a beloved wife Sveta and two daughters Ilona and Suzanna. I love God and worship Him since March 25, 1995 by making music and songs. Sveta is a very good cooker, Ilona and Suzanna play and learn to play piano, and they love to paint.

So here's the story. When the full scale invasion started in Ukraine, we couldn't believe it. Then, after some time, I asked God what to do, how to sing and play, where to live and serve. We were praying every day and every moment. Not because of fear, but out of trusting God.

Then I got the direction to move out our town to other part of Ukraine before the Easter of 2022. We had almost no money to move. Also in those days it was almost impossible to get the tickets to the train, because so many people were moving.

So we asked God to help us in all that. So He did. First He has blessed us with a money to move out. Then He showed the town where we will live. I choose a train that was full already. Then, two days before we leave, I found out that the train I was appointed to got one more extra wagon. Ten minutes later I stood near the railway ticket office, very joyful and with money to buy the tickets.

Two days after we got to the train station (the one in the city, about 30 km from our town. The train has no stop in our town, so we had to ask somebody with a car to drive us to the city train station) with a lot of luggage, and we barely succeeded to put it all into the wagon. Then seconds after we boarded, the train started to move.

While we gathered our luggage God led me to ask about a place for living. I was searching and calling. Then I got a call and found a two-room flat for rent, but there are still people living there, and they will still be there for four days after we arrive. God blessed us to stay at other place for those days. Then we moved to the flat where we live now. And we will live here till the end of war.

We have a monthly need to pay for the rent, to buy some food and necessary things, to pay for the kids study and to fix some broken stuff in the flat. We know God is our helper, protector and provider.

He sent pastor Andrew our way, and us – his way to bless through something each of us can do. He also has sent you for the same reason – to be a blessing to each other.

Amen
